THE ONLY BALKAN’S EXCLUSIVE PERFUME HOUSE.

The first.
The only.

In The Perfume Atelier – Our perfumes are created as layered narratives that blend tradition with contemporary sensibility. Each composition reflects emotions, inner experiences, and cultural heritage, shaping a fragrant expression that communicates authenticity and identity.
The atelier is an artistic space and a place where fragrance gains meaning, identity, and intellectual depth. I founded it because I believed that perfume could be much more than a beautiful scent—it is the invisible signature of personality and culture.
EVERY ACCORD ENTIRELY OUR OWN
We create and own every accord used in our perfumes. From the warmth of Serbian Honey to the intensity of Black Walnut and the richness of Raspberry Brandy, each note is designed, blended, and perfected in our laboratory. This ensures that every fragrance is entirely original , a true reflection of our artistry, emotion, and vision.
Every accord is ours.
Every fragrance is owned.
Every note, authored

Perfumes become a means of connecting with oneself and the world around. The creations carefully balance sophistication, emotional depth, and cultural dimension, opening a dialogue between personal narrative and universal experience, creating fragrances that think, feel, and linger in memory.
Each composition is meticulously crafted to convey an authentic sensibility and layered emotions. The scents reflect experience and character, blending tradition with contemporary sensibility, and opening a new dialogue between the person who wears them and the world around them.
ZAGA COLOVIC
Zaga Colovic is a British perfumer and scent strategist with over 19 years of experience in the fragrance industry, with a career spanning London, where she lives and works, and Belgrade, where she founded The Perfume Atelier, an independent perfume house dedicated to creating original scents and olfactive identities.
Zaga began experiencing fragrance at a very early age, as a child, when her first encounter with her grandfather’s perfume introduced her to a world that cannot be seen, but can be deeply felt and remembered. That early impulse left a strong mark and became the foundation of her approach to perfumery—treating scent as an individual experience rather than a mass-produced commodity.
Throughout her long-standing career, Zaga has developed a unique working method in which strategy and creativity go hand in hand. She views fragrance not only as a composition of notes, but as an identity—a means of expressing personality, culture, and one’s perception of oneself in the world.
The Perfume Atelier, which she founded, serves as her professional and creative platform. In the atelier, Zaga personally selects raw materials and develops perfumes that are deeply thoughtful and authentic, reflecting a wide range of inspirations—from individual emotions to cultural signals—rather than producing generic scents without a distinct identity.
Zaga also works on projects where fragrance becomes a strategic tool, both for personal identity and for brands and visionaries who wish to use scent as part of their expression and positioning. She does not create perfumes simply to make a new product, but to forge emotional connections and olfactive identities that linger in memory.
My perfumes are not products, but emotional experiences, a blend of memories of the past and dreams of the future.
ZAGA COLOVIC
All perfumes from The Perfume Atelier are entirely created in our atelier, from the molecules to the final composition. The bottles are handcrafted in France, the wooden caps are precisely shaped, and the boxes are produced in Serbia. Each creation has its own unique formula, born from a carefully balanced combination of tradition, quality, and the creative process.
Perfume is the closest form of identity that exists, more present than an image, quieter than words, yet deeper than memory.
